Silence

You sit. Suffocating in silence.

Thinking noone could ever find you here;
A deep gorge, running through the heart of a bright forest.
Light filters through the spray of an overhead waterfall, creating rainbow patterns on the white stone that holds you here.

Maybe one day you'll leave, and maybe you won't.
Maybe it's all a creation of your mind.
A matrix to keep you in peaceful isolation until the rains come.

Then the gorge will flood and you'll float back to the surface.
Just because...

However far down you go, there'll always be something to bring you back here.
However far you fall, there will be someone to lift you up again.
Whatever it is,  there will always be someone waiting.

Just because they care.
