Robot Population Explosion

A cyber robot race has always been a risk in this game.
I'd say we're heading for destruction but you'll call me insane.
Zombie Apocalypse is old news; they were too high on brains
To realise a cyber race weren't made of succulent veins.

I hope your sensors are a-picking up the sound of my voice,
This is the last of our humanity. We don't have a choice.
We will evacuate the planet, taking only the best.
Hard luck on anyone unfortunate enough to be left.

And so they left the planet and they headed to Mars,
But the robots were there, looking for their chocolate bars.
So they looked at solar systems of the closest stars,
But found nothing that was close enough to resemble ours.

We tried to rust them in the sea, but they were watertight and galvanised.
Pushed them in volcanoes; they repaired themselves before our eyes.
Buried them, exploded them, swapped their batteries for bricks.
Somehow they always found a way to get these problems fixed.
